Bananeraie Bio de Bourbon

We are a family-run organic farm located in Saint-Leu, in the west of Reunion Island.

We grow organic bananas and other seasonal fruits such as José mangoes, papayas, letchis, longanis, avocados, Galet lemons, grapefruits, coconuts and tree tomatoes.

Katiusca and Olivier Payet are the managing members of our company. Katuscia, installed as an artisan farmer since 2010, has been transforming fresh produce into jams, jellies, spice purees, flours, and dried fruit since 2015.

Olivier, her husband, ensures the quality of fresh produce on the farm, thanks to his daily work on the terroir.

We sell our products via two main channels: – locally, our fresh fruit is distributed via cooperatives – internationally, our processed products are sold via trade shows and listings on short-distance sales platforms such as “La Ruche qui dit Oui”.

Manufacturing method

We take care to select the finest fruit, which we wash and prepare by hand. We peel and cut them precisely before mixing them with organic sugar. Our slow, preservative-free cooking preserves the flavour and freshness of the fruit.
